The approach of spring offers us a new opportunity to connect with wonder and the experience of awe. As buds appear on the tips of branches and blossoms open in the spring sunshine, we can slow down to appreciate the gift of sense perception. The practice of present-moment awareness invites us to experience the world with freshness and a feeling of reverence. Gratitude becomes a natural state of being.
In this four-part series, Margo presents recent discoveries in neuroscience that look at the impact of awe on human flourishing. What happens when we open to wonder? Like blossoms, we open up. And, in doing so, we see our own potential to care for the world around us. Drawing on decades of Buddhist practice as well as studies in Buddhism and world religions, Margo has a designed a short course that supports a deepening of our meditation practice while inviting an awakening of creativity in response to the current needs of the human and non-human communities where we make our home.
